Lois, Thanks for letting me know that. I suspect it is blown into the woods, but glad they actually did get tagged.
To your question, we have been doing a Christmas box as well (and we also collect the dropped food at the Hollis town Band and Chorus Christmas concert - which FYI, Eileen, Anne and I are all playing or singing - Come out on Dec 13 to have a nice time), but we have heard back from a variety of social service agencies we work with ( Marys House, Front Door, the Schools, etc.,) who have told us that at Christmas they are overflowing with contributed foods, and it would be better of our large donations to be moved into a Feb and Pre Easter deliveries, so that’s what we are planning on for this year. We can’t keep the food longer as we need to move out of Brookdale by End of March, who kindly allows us to use their storage. Hope that all answers your question.
Be well
Chris

Hi Chris, yes, we got a tag, which the wind had blown off. You might find yours in some shrubbery….
I plan to be putting foods out on Saturday morning, but will keep you in mind for other donations. Do you do the same thing for Christmas baskets?

Hi Folks,
I hope this message finds you all well and I’m hoping the neighborhood email list is working (thanks to Ted’s efforts) and this gets to you. 🤞
This weekend the boy scouts should have placed tags at all the houses ( mailbox or door handle), letting everyone know that they will collect non perishable ( non glass) food items early next Saturday morning ( Nov 8). However, we didn’t get a tag at our house, and wonder if anyone on Arbor did?
If not, here’s an offer. Dot and I are involved with the Congressional Church which partners with the scouts, and takes in the food, sorts and packs it in boxes and then delivers boxes on Thanksgiving and 2 other times in the winter to folks in feed in our area ( about 50-60 families each time). We are anticipating that the current political situation and inflation may add to the normal need this year.
Dot and I are working collection day operations at Brookdale Farm warehouse, where we collect and box the food and I’m happy to bring any bags you might have when I go, since it may be a scout isn’t assigned to this road.
If you’d like to do take advantage of that, please text me and either leave any bags of food on our covered front porch, or let me know and we’ll arrange to get the food from you on Friday early evening ( Saturday morning is too busy and I’ll leave before 7a). You can text or call me at +1 (603) 459-4230.
Thanks in advance.
All the best,
